Let’s dive into all this fun and nostalgic on site value resort has to offer!
What is a Value Resort?
Disney breaks down their on site resorts into three pricing categories: value, moderate, and deluxe. The value resorts are the most cost effective of the on site resort choices.
Value resorts offer the least amount of on site amenities. These resorts feature the smallest rooms with exterior entrances to each room, and they only offer one quick service dining location. There are currently 5 on site Walt Disney World value resorts to choose from:
All Star Sports Resort
All Star Music Resort
All Star Movies Resort
Art of Animation Resort
and
Pop Century Resort
The three All Star resorts are the most cost effective of the value resorts. Art of Animation and Pop Century fall on the higher end of the value resort pricing scale.
Classic Hall
At the front of the resort is Classic Hall. This is the main building of the resort and is home to lobby. Upon entering, pop culture memorabilia lines the entire length of the lobby in a giant timeline. There is also a little kids area located at the front of lobby complete with cartoons to keep little ones entertained while waiting.
Fast Forward Arcade
Located on the far side of Classic Hall is Fast Forward Arcade. This is a very large arcade full of games and even features massage chairs for the adults. Since this resort celebrates the fads of decades past, this classic arcade is a super fun touch of nostalgia.
Everything Pop Shopping and Dining
Everything Pop Shopping and Dining is the only dining location at Pop Century. This is a large food court that serves up classic food like pizza and burgers, as well as grab and go options. Everything Pop Dining is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Besides the food court, this is also where you will find the gift shop for Pop Century. This has all sorts of items including souvenirs, snacks, hygiene products, etc. If you happened to forget anything on your trip, you can probably find it here.
Decades
Pop Century is separated by decade. This resort is broken up into four sections:
50s
60s
70s
And 80s/90s
Each of the different sections celebrate the icons from that decade, and this includes larger than life representations. The decor of this resort makes for a bright and really fun nostalgic atmosphere.
Hippy Dippy Pool
Hippy Dippy Pool is the main feature pool. It can be found just out back of Classic Hall in the 60s section. This is also where you will find Petals Pool Bar that serves up drinks and a few light snacks. Just behind Hippy Dippy Pool is a separate kiddie splash area.
Additional Pools
There are two smaller pools located throughout the resort. The Bowling Pool can be found in the 50s section, and the Computer Pool can be found in the 80s/90s section.
These smaller pools are great alternatives to the feature pool if you are staying in one of those decades and don’t want to walk all the way to the center of the resort. The smaller pools are also usually less crowded than the main pool.
Activities
An outdoor playground is loocated just to the side of the 70s section. A large jogging trail goes all the way around the resort and offers up great views of Hourglass Lake. Keeping with the theme of this resort, the jogging trail features signs with pop culture facts relevant to the decade you are currently jogging through. There is also a fire pit for nightly campfires and various resort activities.

The Skyliner is located at the back of Pop Century. This shared station sits in between Pop Century and Art of Animation. From here, all guests will need to head to the main hub of the Skyliner at Caribbean Beach. This is roughly a 5 minute ride away, so it doesn’t take long at all. From the main hub guests will transfer to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot.
The Skyliner provides easy and enjoyable transportation to your destination. It also gets you to your destination quickly. It takes approximately 5 minutes to get from the main hub to Hollywood Studios, and it is approximately 15 minutes to get to Epcot from the main hub.
